Some parallels between East and Western igbo communities. Interestingly some of these communities( or names) have different migration stories. But one thing remains obvious,
these similarities are not mere coincidence. There was inter-migrations between these communities before the period of 800AD and the River was certainly not a barrier to these cris crossing. Researchers have been able to discover that ancestors utilised the narrowest edge of the river which they called "isthmus" to navigate across and found settlements. (Nb.Igbo settlement is traced before 3000BC, but by 8TH-9TH century AD it was more evident based on available cultural transition.
