A Former Governor of Anambra State, Christian Chukwudum Onoh in an interview he gave to TELL on the 15th of January, 2001 was asked:
You have just said the British did not trust the Igbos. The others too apparently do not trust the Igbos. The question is why? What was it that they feared in an Igboman?
He replied:
“I will answer you this way. On 15th of July, 1967, when Biafrans went to the Midwest, the Russians said a country that is not yet two months old that can manufacture Ogbunigwe (Monster's bomb) and rockets must be feared. We Igbos at that time celebrated that we were being feared. Unfortunately, it is this fear in the western world that made them unite to subjugate the Igbos. I was an ambassador plenipotentiary sent to the British during the civil war and they passed a legislation putting a stop to the exportation of arms to Biafra. In so doing, they are protecting their interests."
The conspiracy against Biafra did not start today. But this time around, we have taken our destiny in our hands. That is why we say it's either Biafra or death.
No man born of a woman or even spirit can stop us because Chukwuokikeabiama is involved.
The coming of Biafra will shock all of them.
That thing that the world is afraid of will come to pass in their very eyes.
